Police: 2 dead in Bronzeville murder-suicide

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man shot a woman in the head then turned the gun on himself in the Bronzeville neighborhood Monday morning, police said.

The incident happened around 10:50 a.m. on the 2900-block of South State Street in the Dearborn Homes housing project.

Tiara Goodman, 25, was found in the sixth floor hallway of the apartment building along with the man, who was in his 30s, police said. Police said they had just walked out of an apartment filled with five children and other adults when the man fired the gun.

Officials said the two lived in the same building and knew each other.

Area Central Detectives are investigating.
