Mother-in-law in truck rolls into Porter County pond

A 89-year-old mother-in-law ended up in a Porter County pond.

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ind. (WLS) -- A Northwest Indiana man accidentally left his pick-up truck in gear and running with his mother-in-law inside.

The truck then rolled into a pond in Liberty Township in Porter County

The man ran into the water to save his 89-year old mother-in-law.

She was treated for exposure.

The Porter County Sheriff's Office said the incident was an accident.
