Car strikes pole along SB I-355 near Ogden exit

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- A car struck a pole along southbound I-355 near the Ogden exit Friday morning.

The vehicle appeared to have been traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the pol. The force of impact nearly split the car in half.

First responders were able to get the driver out of the vehicle. There is no word yet on the extent of any injuries.

Investigators blocked the left two lanes of the tollway to look into what happened.
