CHICAGO (WLS) -- There's a new place for travelers to go at O'Hare if they want to sign up for the TSA's PreCheck program.

The program allows travelers to avoid long lines by bypassing some requirements, such as removing shoes and clothing or taking out laptops for inspections during security screenings.

"This is the best thing you can do for yourself to help yourself through screening and help our officers. Because this improves screening and security for passengers and for TSA through our standpoint," said Michael McCarthy, TSA.

A temporary enrollment center is now being offered at O'Hare until May 13. You can also enroll in the TSA pre-check program online.
