CHICAGO (WLS) -- Latayuss Curry, of west suburban Forest Park, was charged in the sex assault of a 19-year-old woman in Chicago's Chinatown neighborhood.
Police responded to reports of a burglary in progress in a building in the 2200-block of South Stewart Avenue around 10:15 p.m. Sunday.
Officers learned that Curry, 21, had allegedly broken in and sexually assaulted the young woman. He was arrested and the victim was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
Curry was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, home invasion and kidnapping by force or threat of force.
He is due in bond court on Wednesday.
