ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WLS) -- As kids head back to college many may be worried about housing, but one University of Michigan student brought his own tiny home with him.
Chris Cerk built the 170-square-foot house himself and just moved it from Traverse City to Ann Arbor.
He found a landlord who is letting him park the house on his lot.
Cerk used to pay $800 a month to rent an apartment near campus. The house cost $1,300.
He expects to save money by living in it for a few years.
