CHICAGO (WLS) -- The city council's Finance Committee meets on Monday and Ald. Jason Ervin (28th Ward) is expected to urge committee members to quickly settle with the family of a woman fatally shot by police.

An Chicago police officer accidentally shot 55-year-old Bettie Jones the day after Christmas after a neighbor called police to report that his son was acting erratically. In the same West Garfield Park shooting, police killed Quintonio LeGrier.
