CHICAGO (WLS) -- Metra Milwaukee District-North and Amtrak commuters experienced delays Friday evening after an Amtrak train struck a truck on Chicago's Northwest Side.
Amtrak's Hiawatha Train 336 from Milwaukee to Chicago struck a dump truck near Caldwell and Devon, officials said.
There were 195 passengers and crew on-board the Amtrak train. No injuries were reported.
The incident caused damage to the front of the train and scattered debris along the track, which Amtrak shares with the Milwaukee District-North Line.
Amtrak cancelled trains #337 and #340, and bus service was provided for passengers traveling between Chicago and Milwaukee, Amtrak said.
