ORLAND PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Two teenagers face charges after allegedly entering Sandburg High School, which triggered a soft lockdown at the Orland Park school.
Ian Sipes, 18, and a 17-year-old boy faces three misdemeanors: criminal trespass to safe school zone; criminal trespass to motor vehicle and disorderly conduct.
The two allegedly boarded a school bus with a student who attends Sandburg, entered the building with other students, and wandered around the building for about 15 minutes before learning police were looking for them. They exited the building and were stopped by Orland Park police.
During the search, the school was placed on soft lockdown. That was lifted after their arrests.
