Coyote stuck in bumper after hit by car in Waukegan

A train conductor pulled into the employee parking lot at a north suburban train station with what turned out to be a coyote stuck in the grill of his vehicle.

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- A coyote is recovering Monday night after it got stuck in a bumper in north suburban Waukegan.

People noticed the animal trapped in the front of the vehicle at a train station parking lot and called animal control.

The driver says he didn't know the animal was there.

The coyote is resting at a wildlife center with leg fractures.

On the wildlife center's Facebook page, the coyote was named Vern.
