Police: Child shot in North Lawndale

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police said a child was shot in North Lawndale Monday night.

The shooting happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the 3900-block of West Polk. Police said the child was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment.

There are reports the child is in critical condition, but police would not confirm them.
