Police: Homeless man behind sex assault of girl, 12, inside CVS restroom

HOUSTON -- Southside Place police say they now know who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl inside a popular drug store, and they're actively searching for him.

Christopher Barillas, 27, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in connection with the October 16 incident at the CVS Pharmacy off Bellaire and Stella Link.

According to police, Barillas approached the girl and coaxed her into the women's restroom, where she was sexually assaulted. The girl notified her mother the following day.

Police say evidence collected during a sex assault kit led them to Barillas, a homeless man with a criminal history.
