CHICAGO (WLS) -- It has been a year since the deadly Maidan uprising in Ukraine and Sunday people in Chicago and around the world are paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the violence.
"We need to provide them with the weapons to defend their country against this ingression by Vladamir Putin," said Senator Dick Durbin, who led a rally outside the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Chicago.
In Kiev thousands of people marched to the city's Independence Square to honor the victims who died during months of protests that led to the ousting of Ukraine's president.
