CHICAGO (WLS) -- A drive-by shooting investigation shut down all lanes of the outbound Kennedy Expressway at the Edens Expressway junction for about three hours during the Monday morning rush.

Illinois State Police said shots were fired at a white Toyota Camry from a blue Chevy Trailblazer near Sayre Avenue just after 5:10 a.m. Three bullet holes were seen on the Toyota.

No one was injured in the shooting, state police said. The driver pulled off the road at Higgins and River Rd. and called police. The vehicle was taken to a nearby fire department in Rosemont to be processed for evidence.

Police shut down the outbound lanes of the Kennedy at the Edens junction to search for evidence on the road. Investigators found at least one shell casing, state police said. All lanes reopened around 8:15 a.m.

State police are still looking for the driver of the blue Chevy Trailblazer. No license plate information or shooter description has been released.
