INGLESIDE, Ill. (WLS) -- A three vehicle crash in Ingleside left two drivers with serious injuries Wednesday morning.

Lake County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to Big Hollow Road east of Park Drive in Ingleside at 6:24 a.m. and located three vehicles with significant damage.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound on Big Hollow Road when the 50-year-old driver drove off the roadway onto the south side of the street. As the driver swerved back into the correct roadway, he struck two vehicles, according to the Lake County Sheriff Department.

The drivers of the Chevrolet and one of the vehicles struck, a 31-year-old in a 2001 Dodge Neon, were both transported to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
