ST. LOUIS -- Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo handed out free condoms and emergency contraceptive pills at a concert in Saint Louis Tuesday night.
The free birth control was handed out in coordination with local groups that support the effort.
Part of the concert ticket proceeds from her North American tour will go to groups that help people access abortion services, the former Disney star said.
The 21-year old recently launched her own non-profit, Oliva Rodrigo's Fund 4 Good. The goal of the nonprofit is to support organizations that "champion girls' education, support reproductive rights and prevent gender-based violence."
In a recent Instagram story, Rodrigo announced that some proceeds from the Omaha concert will also go toward abortion funds in Nebraska and Iowa.
After Roe v. Wade was overturned, Missouri banned abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest. The only exception in the state is to save the life of the mother.
The Walt Disney Co. is the parent company of Hulu and this ABC station.
