CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. -- A North Carolina man has been accused of starving a German Shepherd puppy to death.

In a Facebook post, the Craven County Sheriff's Office said it received a complaint involving a puppy being found dead at a home.

Upon investigating, deputies arrested 67-year-old Eddie Bryant after determining that the puppy died from starvation.

Officials said it hadn't been vaccinated for rabies either.

Bryant was charged with felony killing of an animal by starvation and failure to vaccinate for rabies.
