Chicago police bid farewell Wednesday afternoon to a beloved police dog.

Bob, a retired Homeland Security/CPD Explosive K-9, had a brain tumor.

She and her handler, Mike Walter, were escorted to her last appointment at Niles Animal Hospital, where she was put to sleep.

Officers from the 16th District showed their gratitude for Bob's service and supported Walter as he said goodbye.
