Police: Florida woman charged after driving with teen son on hood

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. (WLS) -- A Florida woman is facing charges of child abuse after allegedly driving with her teenage son on the hood of her car.

Jojuana Lowe was pulled over on one of Seminole County's busiest roads with the boy still on top of the car, according to WFTV. Reports indicate that the boy had jumped on the car as she pulled out of an apartment complex, and the boy had hoped to stop her from leaving.

Lowe claims that she was trying to call 911 when she was pulled over, but police say she gave no indication of stopping until the traffic stop.

She was booked for child abuse and released on $2,000 bond.
