Man, 26, fatally shot by police in Wisconsin

LAKE GENEVA, Wisc. (WLS) -- A 26-year-old man was fatally shot by police officers in southeastern Wisconsin after police say he charged at them with a large knife.

Police responded to reports of a man breaking a window with an axe around 5:10 p.m. Friday when they encountered the suspect, who they say charged at the officers with a large knife. The two officers then fired their weapons at the suspect, who has been pronounced dead.

The suspect was identified as Eric Olsen.

Police are continuing to investigate.
