Kirk to GOP: 'Man up' and vote on Supreme Court nominee

WASHINGTON (WLS) -- Illinois Senator Mark Kirk had some tough talk for his fellow Republicans who say they won't vote on President Obama's Supreme Court nominee.

"Just man up and cast a vote. The tough thing about these senatorial jobs is you get yes or no votes. Your whole job is to either say yes or no and explain why," Kirk said.

Kirk made his comments on WLS Radio. Republicans in the Senate want the next president to select a new justice.

Kirk is up for re-election this year. He'll face Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth in November.
