Police investigate River North attack

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are investigating a possible sexual assault in Chicago's River North neighborhood.

Officers found a 30-year-old woman outside her apartment building near Illinois and Clark streets overnight. Police said she was heavily intoxicated.

Paramedics treated her injuries at the scene before transporting her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for further tests.

There is no word on whether or not anyone is in custody.
