St. Alphonsus school working on plan to remain open

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- Hard work may have paid off for the students, parents and teachers at a north suburban Catholic school.

The families of St. Alphonsus Ligouri in Prospect Heights received notice Wednesday a plan has been developed to keep the school running into next year.

The school raised the more than $300,000 needed to keep it open.

More details of the plan will be released on Saturday.
