Garbage truck tips over, flattens car in Schaumburg

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WLS) -- A loaded garbage truck fell over and flattened a car Tuesday afternoon in northwest suburban Schaumburg.

The garbage truck somehow rolled over on its side and landed on the vehicle at Higgins just east of Martingale.

The car was virtually pancaked.

Medics transported both drivers to hospital for minor injuries.

It's unclear was caused the garbage truck to tip over.
