Shawanda Swain, 21, charged in fatal stabbing in Hyde Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Shawanda Swain, 21, has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old in Hyde Park, police said.

Police discovered the male victim with a stab wound to the chest in the 5100-block of S. Hyde Park Blvd. around 3:10 a.m. Thursday, officials said. The victim was hospitalized but died as a result of the injuries.

Swain is scheduled to appear in bond court Saturday.
