Digital tree on display at Louis Joliet Mall

JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- An ordinary ficus has been transformed for the holidays into a "digi-tree" in the center court of Louis Joliet Mall in Joliet.

LED panels hanging from the tree show selfies taken at a nearby photo booth, community news and promotional offers.

According to the mall, this is the first tree of its kind in the country.
