Elderly man fatally struck by snow plow in Morton Grove

MORTON GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- An elderly man was struck and killed by a snow plow clearing his driveway Tuesday morning in north suburban Morton Grove.

Augustino Comella, 80, fell and was struck by the snow plow in his driveway in the 9200 block of Ozark Street about 9:20 a.m., according to Morton Grove police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The NORTAF MCAT reconstruction team responded and is investigating the crash, according to police.
