CHICAGO (WLS) -- A long-time Chicago couple had an impromptu wedding at Advocate Trinity Hospital when Latarua Cole's water broke ahead of schedule.
Charles Morris, 32, and Cole, 29, have been together for 12 years. They wanted to be married before welcoming their baby into the world, and planned to be wed at the courthouse June 5.
But when Cole's water broke on Tuesday, plans changed, according to a statement from Advocate Health.
With her attending hospital staff as bridesmaids, Morris and Cole were married in a 10-minute ceremony at the Calumet Heights hospital on Wednesday.
"I'm just happy," Morris said. "Latarua is a real and wonderful woman."
They plan to name their child Chy-Da Ann Marie Moore.
