GLENDALE, Ariz. -- With 12 seconds left in the first half and the Arizona Cardinals facing a third-and-5 from their own 47, running back Emari Demercado took a handoff from quarterback Kyler Murray and cut to his right.
He found a hole and burst past the Chicago Bears' three-man rush plus a blitzing Josh Blackwell.
From there, Demercado broke through another hole at the Bears 48, cut outside around the 40 and was off the races.
His touchdown gave Arizona a 21-6 lead at halftime and was the longest touchdown run in the final 30 seconds of a first half this season. It was also the Cardinals' longest rushing touchdown since Kenyan Drake's 69-yard run in Week 6 of 2020.
