A breathtaking new poster for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was just revealed.
The poster features the planet Scariff, which was filmed on location in the Maldives.
The poster was revealed as part of the official Lucasfilm Star Wars celebration in London on Friday. The celebration included a panel of those involved in the movie. They also revealed a teaser that provided a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film.
The film, out later this year, will follow rebels who are out to steal plans for the Death Star. This stand-alone story is the first among the Star Wars Anthology Series, a "unique series of big-screen adventures that explores the characters and events beyond the core Star Wars saga." The first trailer for the movie was released in April.
The film stars Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk and more. Several of the actors teased details about their characters during the panel.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on Dec. 16.
