Tom Leach, Chicago Board of Elections spokesperson, dies at 76

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Tom Leach, the longtime spokesperson for the Chicago Board of Elections, has passed away.



He first started working for the board in 1973 on a short-term assignment to promote election reform.



He later became the public information officer, where he served for 33 years.



Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kristan Funeral Home in Mundelein.



Leach was 76-years-old.
