Tommy Hilfiger designs solar panel jacket that charges cellphones

Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger is out with a jacket that can charge cellphones.

According to the designer's website, the solar panel jacket features removable solar panels that charge a battery to keep mobile devices working while on the go.

But wearable technology isn't cheap. The jacket costs about $600.

Tommy Hilfiger says half of the proceeds will go to support the Fresh Air Fund, which sends at-risk kids from urban areas on summer vacations in rural communities.
