Tornado Warning canceled for Kankakee County

The National Weather Service in Chicago has canceled a Tornado Warning for north central Kankakee County in northeast Illinois.

At 8:28 pm, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Bradley and moving north at 35 mph, according to the NWS. The storm that prompted the warning had weakened and moved out of the affected area by 8:43 pm, the NWS said.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for Kankakee and Will counties in Illinois, and Benton, Jasper, Lake, Newton and Porter counties in Indiana until 10 p.m.
