CHICAGO (WLS) -- Governor Quinn announced $55.8 million for the next phase of work on the Jane Byrne Interchange.

Two lanes of outbound I-90/94 will be closed between Roosevelt Road and Jackson Boulevard overnight Monday to accommodate the new work zone. Two lanes of the inbound I-90/94 will be closed between Lake and Harrison streets overnight Tuesday.

Both partial closures are expected to be lifted before the morning rush on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The next step in the $475 million interchange project includes a new flyover ramp from the inbound Dan Ryan Expressway to the outbound Eisenhower Expressway.

Crews finished work on the Morgan Street Bridge last week. They continue work on the East Harrison Street and Peoria Street bridges.

The project is expected to support more than 439,000 jobs over six years.
