CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Federal Aviation Administration is holding four public hearings next month over a controversial new runway at O'Hare Airport.
A fifth runway that runs east and west is scheduled to open in October. Homeowners who live in the flight path say it will only add to the noise that has sparked a record number of complaints this year.
O'Hare officials say it's necessary as air traffic to the nation's second busiest airport expands.
