My Block, My Hood, My City to offer volunteer snow removal

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The snow storm may keep some Chicagoans inside Saturday, but others will be out shoveling for local seniors, residents with disabilities, schools and other under-resourced areas.

The shoveling effort is organized by My Block, My Hood, My City. The organization is also accepting volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering or know someone who needs help with snow removal, you can fill out an online application on the My Block, My Hood, My City website.
