Wife of man killed in Wood Dale tent collapse files suit

WOOD DALE, Ill. (WLS) -- The widow of the man killed when a tent collapsed in suburban Wood Dale is now suing Prairie Fest organizers.

Nicole Nincic's husband Steven died when the tent came down during severe storms after a steel pole hit him in the head.

The lawsuit alleges fest organizers didn't evacuate the grounds in a timely manner when they knew storms were coming.

The suit also contends the tent was not secured properly by Classic Party Rentals.

Two others injured in the tent collapse have also filed suit.
