Time to dance at the Chicago World Music Festival
Chicago is celebrating the diversity of music during the 19th Annual World Music Festival.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago is celebrating the diversity of music during the 19th Annual World Music Festival. The fun, free event features dozens of artists performing at venues around the city September 8-24, 2017. The festival is produced by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and is the largest festival of its kind in the United States.

Among the fantastic performances, visitors can enjoy The 606 Walk + Global Peace Picnic at the Humboldt Park Boathouse from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday, September 17. The event includes performances from Puerto Rican bomba group La Tribu de Abrante. World Music Festival curator, David Chavez, and La Tribu de Abrante visited the ABC 7 State Street Studios to preview their performances at the festival.
