Murder trial begins in gospel singer's death

CHICAGO Prosecutors say 27-year-old David Stanley was seeking revenge on April 4, 2006 because his cousin had been killed.

A bullet fired outside the Lights of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 116th & Halsted in Chicago, struck and killed 18-year-old Terrell Bosley.

The courtroom was packed with Bosley's family members Monday. His mother was among those who took the witness stand. She gave tearful testimony about her son's life.

Stanley was arrested about two weeks after Bosley's death following a tip to Chicago police.
