Chicago mayor back home from Beijing

CHICAGO Daley was part of a Chicago contingent that went to Beijing to try to win support from international sports officials for the city's 2016 Summer Games bid.

While he was in China, Daley was also on the lookout for tips that might help strengthen Chicago's bid. What he saw included Beijing's subway and Olympic venues.

Chicago is vying with Tokyo, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 games.

Daley has scheduled a news conference later in the day.
