Fatty diet linked to pancreatic cancer

June 29, 2009 9:46:19 AM PDT
Eating a fatty diet may put people at risk for developing pancreatic cancer. Researchers studied diet questionnaires of more than half a million people. Findings show that people who had a fatty diet were 36 percent more likely to have pancreatic cancer.

The link between fat intake and cancer was highest for people who consumed saturated fat from animal food sources.
