Attempted child luring reported on S. Side

January 21, 2010 (CHICAGO) Police say around 6:25 p.m., the victim reported she was walking in the 1900-block of Wes 95th Street when a man in an older-model white hatchback pulled up, honked his horn and motioned for the victim to come to his vehicle.

The girl kept walking as the man continued to call her over to the vehicle. Eventually the victim ran home and reported the incident to her grandmother.

The victim continued walking northbound as the offender persisted in attempts to lure the victim to his car. The victim ran home and reported the incident to her grandmother. The driver is described as a white man, 30-40 years old, 6'-6'3", 230 to 250 pounds, with brown eyes, brown straight hair, beard and thin moustache wearing black, wide-rim glasses and a white striped, long sleeved shirt.

The hatchback is described as a rusty white, four-door with a wide black stripe down the sides. There was a baby seat in the back passenger area.
