Man charged in Far South Side murder

February 25, 2010 Gregory Bridges, 35, of the 7100-block of South Hermitage Avenue was charged with one count of first-degree murder after Bridges and the 20-year-old victim got into an argument in the 11200-block of South Hermosa Avenue that resulted in Bridges pulling a gun and shooting the victim.

Brandon Berry, of 6800-block of S. Lowe Ave., was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 3:40 a.m. February 14, seven hours after he was shot.

Bridges was named a suspect in the homicide shortly after the incident and turned himself in Wednesday.
