Prosecutors: 2002 murder case solved

Mario Casciaro is charged with first degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death. He's being held on $5 million bond.

The victim, 17-year-old Brian Carrick of Johnsburg, was working in a grocery store when he disappeared. His family praised Johnsburg police and McHenry County prosecutors for not giving up on a case that's more than seven years old.

\A motive for the alleged murder was not disclosed.
