It was all the money the 16-year-old had made from selling more than 400 boxes of cookies.
"I have been doing this for 10 years, and that has never happened to me. The last weekend of cookies and someone steals from me. That is just very upsetting," Reed said.
But some good came out of the despicable act. People from all over the country have sent donations.
Beverly Reed made back her money and more. The local Girl Scouts took in more than $1,000.
