April 14, 2010 --Another top food company is cutting salt. General Mills says it will reduce sodium by 20 percent in several cereals, soups and snacks.
By 2015, salt will be reduced in about 40 percent of General Mills' products.
The company's rival, Kraft, announced last month that it is cutting salt by 10 percent.
Last year, General Mills began reducing sugar in cereals marketed to children.
