Group supports western access to O'Hare

April 15, 2010 (CHICAGO)

The west O'Hare corridor implementation team presented what it says is an important vision for improving the quality of life and creating jobs in communities near the airport.

The group's leader says the idea of accessing O'Hare from the west isn't just a local issue.

"It has been deemed a project by the United States Congress of national significance and will create thousands of jobs during these difficult times," said Bob Schillerstrom, DuPage County board chairman.

It's estimated that the project could bring $10 billion into the local economy by the year 2030.
