Wisc. farmers may have found chunks of meteor

April 16, 2010

The farmers live in small town outside of Livingston, which is in the southwest portion of Wisconsin.

Terry Boudreaux of Lake Forest was in the area this week looking for meteors of his own. He is collector.

Boudreaux helped the farmers identify the rocks as meteors.

A geologist at the University of Wisconsin agreed. He says one of the objects appeared to be a meteorite because it was covered with a distinctive crust.
