Doctors say teens need to sleep like babies

Teenagers may not think they have much in common with babies, but they should, at least when it comes to sleeping habits.

Top health officials in Kansas say teenagers need to sleep like babies. Dr. Jason Eberhart-Phillips tells the Lawrence Journal World that high schoolers should be getting 9 or 10 hours of sleep.

Many surveys show only 15 percent get up to 8 and a half hours on school nights. Eberhart-Phillips suggests part of the solution could be to start classes later.
