It was lights, cameras and action in the Loop for opening night Thursday of the Chicago International Film Festival.

Oscar-nominated actor Edward Norton was on hand for the debut of his new suspense thriller "Stone."

Norton talked to ABC7's Janet Davies and remembering when he made "Primal Fear" in Chicago 15 years ago with Richard Gere. The role earned him an Oscar nomination.

"I love Chicago. I did my first film here. It's very romantic," said Norton.

The Chicago film festival runs through October 21 with guests including Forest Whitaker, Danny Boyle and Ed Burns joining the festivities.
